About Us
Sasha and Jered Cherry grew up hearing the talk and walking the walk of social consciousness. Mom is a teacher and Dad is a defense attorney.
The Cherry brothers started giving back to the community early on: as middle schoolers in New Hampshire they spearheaded a neighborhood fundraiser, selling hand drawn posters advocating “Save the Whales”. 100% of the proceeds went to Greenpeace.
About Jered: For the last 12 years Jered has focused his energy on his lifelong passion for the outdoors. He majored in Outdoor Education and found his niche, working with children to inspire their passion, curiosity, and confidence in the world around them.
In 2006 Jered moved to San Diego and jumped right into to the world of youth and community development. Jered works with the organization Positive Adventures, promoting healthy choices for youth, gang and violence prevention, environmental stewardship, and outreach to veterans and their families.
He has forged strong connections with the impassioned non-profit community of San Diego. Through Community Ventures LLC and www.ideal4acause.com he envisionscreating an infrastructure of support for local businesses, community members, and fund raising for the non-profits of today and tomorrow.
About Sasha: Sasha Cherry studied Theater at the University of New Hampshire where he experienced first hand working for arts-based non-profits in every capacity. He remembers the energy of the students he worked with while performing children’s theater as a volunteer at local schools. Through theater children learned about their own creativity, confidence, and compassion for others.
Sasha has spent the last 10 years living in Colorado’s outdoor playground, finding time for skiing and rock climbing in the midst of a professional career selling advertising in arts non-profits programs. For the last 4 years he has volunteered extensively for the HERA Women’s Cancer Foundation at their annual Climb4Life event in Boulder, Colorado.
Recently relocated to San Diego, Sasha is thrilled to have the chance to apply his vast knowledge of marketing and advertising to local businesses and non-profits.
About Mordy Levine: Mordy graduated from Brandeis University with a BA in Economics. He attended University of Chicago Business School and graduated with an MBA in Finance and Accounting. Since that time he founded and successfully operated numerous companies. He has consistently created and grown companies from seed capital to successful, profitable, and saleable entities. His focus in recent years is on helping non-profit organizations grow and thrive.
